Pliers

Pliers are undoubtably one of the most versatile tools in a model makers toolbox. Ideal for holding small components that fingers cannot grip, carefully bending metal pieces or reaching into the smallest nook & cranny to grip almost anything.
A quick word of caution: plier jaws are steel - usually much harder than the materials models are made from, so be careful not to damage or mark delicate pieces, particularly if your pliers have 'teeth'.
Tip: To avoid this, wrap a piece of tissue, cloth or rubber around the model piece or better still, use a small patch of masking tape wrapped around the plier jaws.
