Cao Xuechun's Decal Guide
Techniques
For most people, a decal is usually a cross or a star applied to a wing-tip or turret. Once you step outside the realms of military modelling, however, the use of decals takes on an entirely different role. This is particularly true of racing cars and bikes which are often smothered from bumper to bumper in large and elaborate decorations! When Cao Xuechun first delved into the world of automotive modelling he soon learned that the application of such decals required an enitrely new approach. Cao hails from Hubei Province in China where he is part of a large modelmaking community. With the help of his colleagues he was soon able to master the techniques.
