This model is constructed of stiff card, and comes in a set of sheets, pre-cut so that the minimum of cleaning up is needed before assembly. Its first virtue is a very clear instruction sheet, and this is needed, for the second virtue is that this model may be assembled in a variety of ways. For stationary displays you could create a set of complete bus sheds (or other industrial units) or build it as an extensive backdrop, or leave the modules separate as terrain features for a wargame. The size of each bay is 140mm x 140mm to the eaves of the roofs, and there is an office which measures 52mm x 104mm, which can be added in various ways. The description on the website does not exaggerate: this is a truly versatile model.

Assembly is very easy, though it is worth being careful to follow the steps in the instructions. The result is a pleasingly utilitarian building at home in any contemporary time period. The card is just right in thickness, being strong enough to construct robust buildings without being over-heavy. The kit design is extremely good, and makes it a pleasure to construct and contributes greatly to the strength of the finished product.

In the end one misses the surface detail of a resin model, but though the surfaces are flat in fact the detail is such that the visual effect is very pleasing. I use mine for backdrops for model photographs, and I don't think you can tell the difference.

As a bonus, the kit is available in N gauge, code PN125. The models are not quite identical, having a few differences in window pattern. The N gauge model is in lighter card which works just right for the scale.
