Issue 4 caught my eye while standing in line at a high-street newsagents, waiting to buy Christmas cards and I am really glad I picked it up! (3 back issues and a subscription rapidly followed)
To quote Mark Lanckham the Editor:
"This I believe is something that the miniatures hobby has been without for some time, a vehicle for smaller companies to get their message to the masses."
I certainly agree.
It appears that any manufacturer is welcome within the pages of Harbinger, some of the highlights recently coming in the form of articles from Andy Foster (Heresy-Miniatures), Graham Clarke (simple Miniatures - uk distributor of Rackham)and 'Ebob' (author of an excellent 'masterclass'). Obviously there are many other outstanding articles, far to many for me to cover here. Go buy the magazine ;P
The format is already consistent: News Letters Reviews Showcase Master class Step - by - step Spotlight + others with the odd competition thrown in too.
Harbinger Magazine has started out with a strong foundation and promises that the page count will increase sooner rather than later!
Positive: very wide coverage
Negative: tempting you to get into EVERYTHING ! (ok, so not a negative with respect to the magazine itself, just my wallet)
