The characters from a series of novels by Dan Abnett are made avilable as miniatures for the Imperial Guard. Official rules for them have been also been published, making a very characterful addition to an Imperial Guard force.
The box contains six miniatures of which only commissar Gaunt himself is available separately, for £7.
The miniatures are all metal, with 2 of them (Gaunt & Milo) having separate arms. All are nicely detailed pieces with dynamic poses.
Positive: The quality of the miniatures in terms of detail is excellent. They make a very distinctive unit on the tabletop.
Negative: Such detailed models are unforgiving of mediocre painting skills.
Value: This is the only reason for the low score - at £24 for six figures, (one of which is priced at £7 individually!), this set really does push the boundaries of credibility in the pricing department.
