he Dark Angel Tactical Squad is basically the latest multipart plastic set, containing enough pieces to assemble a full squad, with metal components for a heavy weapon marine and a single piece metal seargent figure.
10 marine body sprues with variations of legs & breastplates & accessories, 2 backpack sprues(5) with detail variations, 8 arm, bolter & shoulder sprues with variations & 10 bases. The metal components for the plasma cannon are Dark Angel specific with sculpted iconography. The metal robed seargent is specific to this set.
Positive: There are enough pieces & variations to make up a squad with each member being an individual and some leftover pieces. (with a spare weapon sprue another marine can be made). Good, crisp detail on the metal parts.
Negative: The moulds may be getting a little tired, the detail isn't quite as crisp as on earlier marine sprues I've seen, particularly on some of the legs.
Value: At £18 compared to the standard Tactical Squad(£15), which contains the special weapon sprue, value is about the same. The additions of metal components are offset by less plastic components. Excellent miniatures but a little pricey.
