It will come as no surprise to learn that top figure painter Kevin Dallimore is rarely out of work. In the run-up to spring, however, he's even busier than ever. Kevin is planning a demonstration of his skills at the forthcoming Salute Zero Six event where he will appear alongside leading figure sculptor, Mark Copplestone. As well as being responsible for his own popular line of miniatures - Copplestone Castings - Mark is also the man behind the Richard Cour de Lion, St George and the Dragon mini vignettes - which have been given away free at past events. This year Mark has designed a scene depicting the climatic battle between King Arthur and Mordred. If you want one you'll have to be amongst the first 5000 people through the doors at the new ExCel venue on April 22nd!
Meanwhile, Kevin has been burning the midnight oil in preparation for the big day by working on a range of futuristic tanks from the popular "Hammer's Slammers" series. For those of you not familiar with the name, I suggest you take a sneak-peak at the rules which we reviewed some time ago...

Kevin's handiwork can be seen on several of the famous hover tanks shown below. If memory serves serves me correctly, these are produced by Jez Plumridge over at Old Crow Models.
More examples of this and other recent work can be seen in Kevin's latest gallery. You'll also find a heap of new stuff inspired by 2000AD - including more judge Dredd and Rogue Trooper. There's even a bit of Dr Who thrown in for good measure. Regardless of whether you like your models big or small, Kevin's work is always inspirational and a must see for anyone even remotely interested in figure painting.
