People express their model making interests
in lots of different ways. There are figure painters, kit builders, model
railway enthusiasts - and all the rest. For some, model making is a very
solitary pursuit. For others, it is an opportunity to reach out and connect
with an entire community. For them, the Internet
is the perfect medium. Take the case of Paul Darnell. He set up his website
- Touching History - because of his sheer enthusiasm for all matters
historical. He's also an avid wargamer and his website gave like minded
enthusiasts an ideal window into his world. Now Paul is all set to go one
step further. Paul is about to launch an on-line e-magazine and he needs
your help to do it.
The new magazine will be a commercial venture so Paul knows that in order
to make it a success he must attract a willing and enthusiastic audience
from the community. The big question, however, is exactly what does the
community want to read? This is where you get your chance to do your bit.
Paul has set up a mini questionnaire on his website which he hopes will
draw some answers. He's also looking for potential article writers. There's
even a call for figure painters!
If you'd like to have a hand in shaping a new on-line magazine, or would
like to contribute an article or a few well painted figures, head on over
to Touching History today and read all about it.
