It's been a while since we last heard from our friends at Nimix, the popular military model design studio in Spain. So, I was delighted to find a message from them in my inbox this morning which included details of their latest releases.
The first item on the list is a 200mm bust of General Muņoz Grandes. Grandes fought for the Nationalists during the Spanish Civil War. He was later promoted to the rank of General and took command of the Spanish forces in Africa.
In 1941 Grandes took command of a small unit of volunteers in the service of the German Wehrmacht. This force was known as the "Blue Division". Grandes led the volunteers until 1943 during which time he was decorated with the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves.
This detailed bust is made of resin and etched brass and manufactured to the highest standards.
To complement the new model Nimix have released a brass etching incorporating a selection of Blue Division emblems. These symbols can be combined to create a decorative badge for the pedestal upon which the bust will be mounted.
Nimix already produce a small range of such etchings in 120mm. They include insignia and devises suitable for a range of Wehrmacht and SS projects. Each set includes full colour instructions.
