Event: Glasgow Open Model Show & Competition
Date: Saturday 7th October 2006
Venue: Kelvin Hall International Sports Arena on Argyle Street, Glasgow.
Opening Times: Saturday 10am - 4pm

Our show is the biggest in Scotland after the Scottish National Scale Model Show at Perth and this will be our fourth year at the present venue. We have at last now resolved the licence issue that required last year’s show to be cancelled at short notice.

The show is at the Kelvin Hall International Sports Arena on Argyle Street, next to the renowned Glasgow Transport Museum (admission to the museum is free, lots of 1:1 scale!) Visitors to the show can also visit the newly reopened Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum over the road (also free admission), which now has a 602 Squadron Spitfire (a real one) suspended from the roof in the main lobby.

The show is open from 10AM to 4PM.

Admission to the show will be £2.50 for adults, 50 pence for children and pensioners.

Family tickets will be £5 for two adults and two children.

There will be a 42 class competition, open to all. We will have twenty traders and twenty club and SIG displays, including MAFVA Scotland. There will be a trophy for the best visiting club or SIG display. Catering will be available at the show as well as the Museum cafeteria being open all day.
