There are no less than 3 cracking model kits on the way from Fontegris Miniaturas this month. The first depicts the meeting between a huge Ent-like tree creature and a woodland dryad. The former appears to have aspirations of the amorous variety - given that he is holding a bunch of flowers! The 54mm resin kit - entitled "A Spring Morning..." - includes a detailed base complete with a retinue of small furry animals.
The remaining two items are vignette/figure bases. The first features a crumbling temple wall which - judging by the extensive carvings and hieroglyphics - is dedicated to the hawk-headed God, Horus.
The second base provides a backdrop of a stone-built castle wall, complete with half a wooden door, a short flight of steps and even part of a covered gallery or cloister. Called the "Kingdom of the Mountain" it would make the perfect base for a medieval or Dwarf fantasy setting.
Both bases are cast in resin and suitable for 54mm scale figures.
