Retrokit has just released their 1/72 B.L. 15in Siege Howitzer (R72023). This rare – only 12 were built - but impressive piece of WWI artillery adds to Retrokit growing range of WWI equipment, already featuring the Taxi de la Marne, the Gun Carrier, the British 60pdr howitzer, the Italian Lancia 1Zm armoured car and the French 155mm Schneider Court howitzer. The 15in kit is in resin but comes with a small length of brass chain; it retails at £14.60.
Also new from Retrokit are the US M149A2 Water Tank Trailer (R72025), that can be used with their M35A1/A2 Truck and the ammunition trailer (R72026) associated, just prior WW2, with the 155mm Schneider Court howitzer and the Somua MCG 4/5 artillery tractor (also available in Retrokit’s range). The Schneider howitzer is also now joined by its dedicated tractor, yet another variant of the Somua MCG halftrack, the MCG 4/11 (R72024). Both new trailers retail at £7.30 while the MCG 4/11 is priced at £14.00.
