After a period concentrating on their range of 1/56th scale modern vehicles, Sloppy Jalopy are pleased to announce a return to their 1/48th range of WW1 and interwar vehicles. Designed by Ian Crouch and Richard Tyndall our latest release is the Mark 3 Austin Armoured Car which saw service with the British on the Western Front from 1916, in Mesopotamia and Persia, in the Russian Civil War and with the interventionists in the Caucasus.

The model consists of a resin body with metal fittings and comes in a simple kit form. It is designed to compliment the most popular ranges of 28mm figures for the period.

We have a few pictures here painted by Laurence Baldwin.

There will be further versions of the Austin released over the next few months followed by WW1 and interwar Ford Model Ts, Mack Trucks and the first of our German Armoured Cars.

Meanwhile the Austin is available by mail order or at shows from Shaun of The Bunker who also carries all our other 1/48th scale models including Ford and Thorneycroft trucks and Crossley cars.
