A few weeks ago I was asked to put together a design for a promotional banner for Steve Eserin of The Figure Trader. Steve was planning to attend a number of model shows and fairs throughout the year and wanted an eye-catching graphic to hang behind his trade stand. I produced the following illustration:
The graphic aims to represent a walkway or corridor as viewed from above. This is in keeping with the style of the TFT product range which is built around the idea of futuristic world that is both war-torn and highly industrialised.
Due to the limitations of space, this page can only accomodate a very small version of the TFT illustration. For his trade stand, however, Steve required a banner which was 18 feet wide and a meter high! In order to print such a huge graphic we turned to Maximus Operandi who are a large-format print studio based in Northamptonshire. The team produce a vast array of artwork, much of which ends up decorating the window displays of many well-known high-street stores. Other lines include a range of "pop-up" bannerstands for exhibitions and trade fairs.
The TFT banner was reproduced on one of their massive, high-resolution printers straight on to a special vinyl material to give it maximum strength. The edge was then hemmed and fitted with brass eyelets so that a rope could threaded around the perimeter. Although I haven't seen the finished article, the Maximus team assure me they are very pleased with the results! The banner will be on display - quite literally - at Salute 05 held at Olympia in London on Saturday, 23rd April.
If you're in the market for some new eye catching graphics for your own trade stand then I cannot recommend Maximus Operandi highly enough. The team are friendly, approachable and extremely efficient. What's more the cost of the work carried out for TFT was very reasonable. Most people probably won't need a banner that's 18 feet wide but Maximus will still be delighted to cater to your requirements. They can print on to almost any media - even fabric - and in pretty much any dimensions you can think of. Whether you need a board to hang up behind your trade stand or a full-blown pop-up system, Maximus are the people to talk to!
Give them a call on 01933 413113 - and remember to tell them that Antar sent you!
