The Cambridge Branch MAFVA is pleased to announce that the 2006 UK MAFVA National Championships will be held on Sunday 18th of June 2006 at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford Airfield, Cambridgeshire in conjunction with the annual Duxford Military Vehicle Show. This year the Museum will be allowing visiting military vehicles on site on the Saturday, which will attract more MV’s, has organised a camping area adjacent to the Museum, and will have a flying programme.

For the single admission price of £15.50 (children under 16 go free), you get to see the Museum, the Military Vehicle Show and the Model Show all for the same money. A day out for the whole family as well as the enthusiast.

This year we have a marquee 160 x 50 foot which will be filled with model and book traders, MAFVA branch and other model club displays, and the competition tables. We hope to encourage youngsters to enter the competitions, and entries will be free for them. It is hoped that we can provide a prize for every junior entry as an incentive for them.

This event is held by kind permission of the Imperial War Museum, Duxford with the full co-operation of the Vehicle Wing, Duxford Aviation Society who organise the Military Vehicle Show.

The Imperial War Museum, Duxford is adjacent to Junction 10 of the M11. Coaches run from London, and a bus service runs from Cambridge, which picks up from Cambridge Railway Station & Drummer Street Bus Station.
