Salute is almost three and a half decades old. The UK’s biggest collection of traders and gamers bar none is moving to ExCel, London.
Along with gaming tables showing the very best in participation and demonstration wargames and RPGs, the painting competition is well worth entering this year. With over £600 of prizes already promised, there are twelve categories to choose from. Best of Show (all categories) will win £300 worth of prizes from Foundry Miniatures. Best in the Category X: Painting the Salute Zero Five Figure of Saint George will win a £50 voucher to spend at the show. All categories will win a trophy and the Best of Show will also win our Arthurian themed sword ‘Excalibur’!
There will be the usual £500 in “Salute Cash” vouchers to be won and spent on the day by some lucky gamer who fills a questionnaire in.
Last year the Warlords – the show organisers - gave away a Mark Copplestone sculpted vignette of Saint George slaying a Dragon (worth £10) to the first 4500 gamers through the door and if you got one and wanted to enter the painting competition with it you could win! This year the show is giving away another superb Mark Copplestone vignette – remember these are limited edition, specially commissioned pieces that will not be available any where else. The Salute Zero Six figure set is a fighting pair featuring Arthur and Mordred locked in combat.
