Polemos English Civil War Rules now out. |

After three years of writing, playtesting, much scratching of heads and complete bewilderment, I am really very happy to announce that the Polemos English Civil War rules are now officially released and available for purchase.
You can find loads more information about the rules and the system if you go to the Baccus site www.baccus6mm.com and follow the Polemos link on the left hand side. In brief, they have been designed specifically to allow for the practical use of 6mm figures with a basing system that will produce great-looking armies on the tabletop. However the use of element basing and a cunning system of measurements means that they can be used with any sized wargames figures on any basign scheme.

In order for you to be able to make best use of Polemos ECW, the Baccus ECW packaging has been completely overhauled. The old Forlorn Hope army packs have been discontinued. These have been replaced by a system of basic Polemos army packs and boosters for the various troop types. This means that you can collect armies in a convenient and cost-effective manner. If you are new to the period and feel enthused to give it a go then there is an 'all you are going to need to start ECW gaming' pack which includes armies, rules, bases, terrain, flags

The Polemos rules have created a lot of interest and we think that they will become very popular with 6mm gamers. The good news is that these are just the start of a projected series of period rules using the same core mechanics. The Great Northern War and Spanish Succession War rules are all but finished and I hope to have both available by June of this year. Work is already underway on Seven Years War, Napoleonic and Fantasy versions.
