Despite the amazing rise in popularity of 28mm WWII figures there remains something of a void on the vehicle front. As far as I'm aware, there is still only a single, dedicated 28mm vehicle manufacturer on the market. As a result Shaun Matthews and his S&S Models outfit have most of the field to themselves. To date they've released a neat selection of AFVs including most of the usual suspects from the German, US, British and Russian armies. In recent weeks they've also introduced two new models in the shape of a LVT4 Amtrack and an impressive looking M4A4 VC Firefly.
I'm also pleased to report that Shaun has spent some valuable time rebuilding his site. Although it still doesn't have what you would call a proper catalogue, it appears far easier to navigate than the old site and is also much clearer. S&S also produce a range of modern 28mm vehicles along with a host of 1:76th scale models.
