S&S Models
S & S Models have been manufacturing quality resin and metal
vehicles,guns and figures since 1986. We started production after
buying some poor quality resin kits mail order and after the initial
dissapointment we decided we could do better! We now make one of
the largest ranges of 1/76th scale resin and metal vehicles, from
pre WWII right up to the present day.
Our kits are designed to be simple and easy to build, but still looking like
the real thing and not wargames caricatures. almost all the original masters
are made by us so that we can keep up the quality and improve with each new release.
New for 2002 was the release of vehicles in the size of figures known as 28mm,
this roughly equates to approx 1/60 scale or 5mm to the foot which is 25% bigger
than 1/76 and is therefore easy to scale up to this new scale.
We have lots of new vehilcles and guns planned for this scale and we are hoping
to get some crew figs for some of our open topped vehicles. We always like to
hear your comments on what we have made and your ideas on what we should make
are always welcome, we also offer a building service so that if you or your club
can guarantee buying at least 10-12 of a vehicle or gun we will consider production
of that particular subject.
Our WWII 1/76 range will grow over 2003/2004 with the addition of more of the
79th armoured divisions funnies as the 60th anniversary is next year, and more
German vehicles to pitch against them for those d-day games. You can see all
the range at various shows around the country, especialy "Battlegroup South" at
Bovington Tank Museum, which is in Dorset, in july.
