Great North Roads
Great North roads produce a range of 1/35th scale diorama scenics.
Tim Marshall has been making military models - as a hobby - for the last 12 years. Feeling that there was additional room in the market place for manufacturing certain accessory lines, he decided to direct his experience into creating quality plaster castings (cobble road bases). These bases, upon which modellers can display their creative results, prompted the formation of Great North Roads. The initial launch drew an encouraging response from modellers. What's more, the subsequent purchase of Military World enabled the product range to be extended considerably. Military World had been a respected contributor to the diorama accessories market for a number of years. Our first season incorporating Military World was a great success - thanks mainly to the skill of the modellers.
 Peter Marshall and his son carried on with the good name of Great North Roads. They are now taking something of a backseat. Whilst they will continue to produce new products, the company is now owned by Simon Farrugia. He looks forward to continued growth and the prospect of meeting new customers at various clubs and shows during the coming seasons. The product range is available through Mail Order and selected stockists.
