Milicast
The Milicast Model Company is a family owned business which has been
building and manufacturing 1:76 Scale AFV Model, using resin, in Glasgow
since 1985. Resin cast models were pioneered by Eric Clark over thirty
years ago, with the ECM range passing on to us in the mid-eighties.
During that time we have continued to be in the vanguard of progress
and innovation in this scale, being one of the first companies to
introduce polyurethane resins into scale model AFV reproduction.
Over the years we have endeavoured to continually learn and adapt as the new technology and techniques became available and - to that end - we have withdrawn many of our older kits and replaced them with new master parts in order to supply our customers with an improved model.
Our aim has always been to build the most accurate model possible, using all available research material and including, where possible, original vehicles. We are also fortunate to be able to call on the world-wide resources of MAFVA. We have over the years built up a pool of experience which, with our team of master pattern makers, has allowed us to build some of the very finest AFV models in this scale, in the world.
 As keen modellers ourselves, we have always strived to produce models which accurately reflect the actual vehicle and which are a true scale representation of the subject. Resultantly, some of our kits contain photo-etched brass parts, aluminium turned barrels and brass rod. All other parts are produced using the finest quality polyurethane resins available. Our kits are hand made, taken from moulds of the original master parts and are produced in relatively small numbers. They are not like mass produced injection plastic kits and do require different building techniques but the results, in terms of accuracy and detail, are superior. Each kit contains a parts list with details on assembly and helpful tips on resin kit construction.
