Barry Walby of MMS Models has been designing
white metal kits since 1987. Since then his range of 1:76 models has developed
into one of the very best on the market. In a community where kits at the
smaller end of the scale are often regarded as inferior relations to their
larger, 54mm cousins, MMS Models are one company that can be relied upon
to prove the critics wrong. Each kit is the product of meticulous research
and expert craftsmanship in equal measure. What's more, with over 135 vehicle
kits and over 70 gun and accessory paks spread across a number of different
ranges, the MMS catalogue is nothing if not comprehensive!
Each kit is cast in white metal. This makes the process of building the
model somewhat more forgiving than, say, a plastic or resin kit. The end
is result, however, is just as impressive. The detail on all MMS models
is superb - right down the bolt heads. The all metal construction also ensures
that each model is possessed of a certain heavy robustness that isn't conveyed
through any other material. The MMS Tiger I - for example - weighs in excess
of 250 grammes! Little wonder that this has made MMS models a firm favourite
amongst wargamers and military model enthusiasts alike.
The lucky winner of this competition will receive any three MMS models
of their choosing!
This competition is now closed! It was won by Werner Kampfhofer who correctly identified that the answer to the question was £34.40!
