In the past few years one company - perhaps more so than any other - has done more to bring a fresh new look to the world of tabletop wargaming. That comapny is i-Kore. A first-rate product range coupled with a progressive outlook has allowed i-Kore to rise rapidlly through the ranks in double quick time to become one of the industry's leading players. The Edinburgh outfit have already established 3 solid and increasingly popular figure lines including Celtos, Xyston and the game of Sci-Fi warfare - VOID.

VOID is a fast paced skirmish game, with the emphasis placed on enjoyable free flowing game play. It uses a unit-by-unit activation system that encourages strategic use of supporting troops, and prevents the game from becoming mired in hour-long turns. The game mechanics are clear and concise, allowing you to fight games ranging from very small skirmishes with only a few miniatures, to massive battles using hundreds of miniatures. Simple enough for beginners, the game system also has subtle depths that will provide a satisfying challenge for the experienced player.

Since April 2000 i-Kore have shipped over 35,000 units of the original VOID rulebook. Soon the company will unveil their new VOID 1.1 Gamebox which already looks certain to build on the solid foundations of its predecessor. The set will include 50 multi-part plastic figures, new Void 1.1 rulebook in full colour, colour card templates and counters, colour card quick reference sheets, roster pads, dice and rulers. It promises to provide an excellent starter set for starter set for entry into the hobby.

This month on Total Model i-Kore are giving you the chance to win a VOID 1.1 Gamebox of your own. As ever, all you need to do is answer a very simple question!

This competition is now closed!
It was won by Javier Barriopedro - who hails from Mexico! Javier correctly identified that the correct sequence was 1C, 2D, 3E, 4B, 5A. Indeed, I'm pleased to report that after compiling hundreds of entries, only two people got the answer wrong! Many congratulations to Javier. His super new VOID Gamebox will soon be winging its way across the Altantic where I'm sure it will make many admiring friends.
