I have a very relaxed attitude to modelling - after all it's a hobby and
supposed to be fun. I can't think of any aspect of the hobby that I haven't
tried at some time since starting at age 7 - I've tried railways, flying
models, and even worked in a model shop when I first left school. My view
is that if it looks right it probably is right - I hate 'rivet counters'
and 'anoraks' - I won my first competition at the first attempt and never
entered again because of the negative views of the other competitors. I
will use all sorts of items from other disciplines in my models, I don't
claim that they are all 100% accurate, and I don't claim to be an expert;
but they please me and that, after all, is why I'm in the hobby to start
with!
