In order to register, first visit the User Gallery page. Then, select "Register" from the links beneath the Total Model logo.

After confirming your age group, you will be asked to verify that you are in agreement with the User Gallery rules. If this is indeed the case, you will proceed to the next page where you are asked to provide certain basic details - such as your name and e-mail address.

Once you have completed this process, you will be sent a confirmation e-mail message. It will instruct you that, in order to activate your registration, you must respond to the e-mail. Failure to so will mean that you are not able to post images in the User Gallery.

How do I post my pictures? Up

In order to post pictures, you must first Register.

If you have done this already, you need only visit the User Gallery page. Once there, select "Upload Photos" from the links beneath the Total Model logo.

On the next page you will be asked to choose a category for your image. If, for example, you are uploading a photograph of a WWII tank, you should select the "Military" category.

Next, you must locate the image you wish to upload. Do this by pressing the "Browse" button. This will open a window from which you will be able to browse your computer to the location of your image file.

After you have done this, it only remains for you to give your photo a Title. You should also take this opportunity to add several keywords for the search engine and perhaps a few lines of descriptive text.

The final option allows you to select whether or not you are notified everytime someone leaves a comment about your image.

I've registered for the Forum - does this allow me to upload photos into the User Gallery? Up

No. The Forum and user Galery are entirely separate features. Registering for one will not give automatic access to the other - and vice-versa.

In order to use the User Gallery you must register for the User Gallery.

I've registered - so why do I get the message: "Sorry, you don't have permission to upload photos?" Up

When you register for the User Gallery, you are sent an "activation" email. The message states that, in order to complete the registration process, you must respond to the email as instructed. Failure to do this means that your registration is incomplete and you will not be able to post your images in the Gallery.

My image is too big or to wide - what can I do? Up

You should take steps to reduce the overall size of the image. This can be done in a number of ways. The most obvious method is to reduce the physical dimensions of the photo.

Another option may be to remove any unecessary background clutter. This will crop the image - which has the added bonus of focussing the viewer's attention on the most important details of the photo.

I've uploaded my photo - but I can't see it! Up

Once an image has been uploaded to the site the staff at Total Model must verify that the content is acceptable. This ensures that people of a more mischievous disposition do not bombard the Gallery with images of their dog, their car - or something far worse!

The verification process is entirely manual so it many take several hours before an image is cleared and appears in the gallery. Typically, however, it should only take a matter of minutes.
